Hunting and Fishing Club Newsletter - January 2009

To all 2008-2009 Hunters: 

Our water foul season is almost over and we are looking forward to a new year.

The dove hunting was really good and most people had a good duck hunt.

The goose season was above average with 40 killed one Saturday.  The people who went more and stayed longer did the best as usual. 

The ice melted the earliest we have seen, but it might refreeze.  More geese stayed than ever before but they did not always work as well as we would like.

Please do not leave goose carcasses that have been breasted in the trash barrel at the lake.  Trina and I have to haul them off.

We have taken a few new members already for next year.  If you have anyone that would be interested have them get in touch.  The rates for membership will remain the same $675 for the year and 08-09 members that pay before April 1, 2009 will get a $100 discount.

Our lease is due April 1st and we need to get the money together by then. 

We will have a work day Saturday, February 21st.  If you can help we will start at 8 am.
